Lesson 7 🧮
the efficiency equation

Hello again ☺️

I hope your week is going well thus far.
Whether it is or not, I’m here to help you make sure it ends that way.
Today, we will dive into something slightly less personal than usual,
and quite a bit more practical—
EFFICIENCY 💫
It’s one of those words that feels powerful, a bit corporate, and clearly measurable.
In the world of science, it’s measured in many ways.
BUSINESS MOM ARE YOU ABOUT TO MAKE US DO MATH? 🤬

no, my dears.
I’ll do the math for you 😉
< borrowing from a popular equation “ e = mc2 ” so you can remember it >
e = mc2 [ but different ]
1️⃣ THE PROBLEM 🧐
being “efficient” requires energy
Efficiency sounds great in theory.
Most of us know it is difficult to achieve in practice.
The “Sunday Scaries” often arise after a week of trying to be efficient, yet realizing you still have so much work to get done before Monday starts.

POV you have the Sunday Scaries
The way to get ahead of this?
Being efficient.
Accomplishing your work within the time that you have allotted.
Getting the proper output for all this input!
2️⃣ A REALIZATION 🧠
energy balance is always in flux
Started the day in a great mood, but something out of your control got you down?
been there 🥲
Have all the right circumstances on paper, but can’t find a way forward?
I GET YOU 🥹
Being able to sustain your output requires energy balance to avoid burning out, crashing out, or just straight up crashing.

and that requires BALANCE (see below)

admit it — we are great, but nobody is THIS kid (other than this kid) 👏
3️⃣ A SOLUTION ✨
the efficiency equation
Yes, it’s just e = mc2 ✨rebranded✨
The components of this equation are simple.
e
the long sought-after “efficiency”
m
interchangeably your mindset or mood
c (#1)
your circumstances
c (#2)
your secret weapon, AKA your CREATIVITY ✨
The math is straightforward.
as long as you operate with whole, positive numbers…
*this is a newsletter, not statistics class OK? ok!
clears throat 😤
The components are either POSSIBLE or DIFFICULT control.

In the end, you have a simple formula to manage your efficiency.
When one component dips to a lower value, bring it up with the others.
When one component raises by external forces, take the WIN and keep going.
Difficult circumstances require much more effort in creativity to reach the same result.
A bad mood can take good circumstances and creativity to a state of spoil.
Control what you can. Understand what you cannot. And stay flexible.
4️⃣ NUANCE, my old friend ✨
I know that negative numbers exist. They just don’t work with my math metaphor.
extremely low circumstances mean a much harder grind to higher efficiency, hence the math of multiplication
it’s not even fair, it’s just the reality
I’m just your business Mom, using my own experience and research to help you out. Feel free to challenge these ideas, respectfully, with a reply.
