Dear reader,
Welcome to your first mini lesson.
I wasn’t kidding before 😆
For those missing context, please return to Page (lesson) 26, ANYWAY—
Let’s dive right in.

^ me storming into your inbox (or web page 💅) with a quick MESSAGE 🏊♀
We’ve lost another great art—
the art of savoring something until the last drop.
AKA the art of appreciating our experiences and possessions in their entirety.
What do you mean?
Many of us are sacrificing fulfillment and completion
for what is often fleeting attention
or just the next hit of dopamine.
Your toothpaste is still 30% full but you trash it for a new “innovative” toothpaste you saw on TikTok.
Your phone has a tiny crack in the screen, so you might as well upgrade to the new one right?
You’re at a concert and the artist already performed that one song you were waiting on, so I guess it’s time to skip the rest of their set, and catch the train home?

POV I asked you to stay for the last song
In each of those scenarios, you miss some magic ✨
(and you create waste).
TOOTHPASTE 🪥
🪄 That toothpaste could have lasted you another month of two-a-days & saved you $
🗑 You’re likely throwing away that toothpaste, losing all that value—
🗑 or even worse you’re saving it as a backup and it will expire before you think about it again (so you’re just wasting space)
PHONE 📱
🪄 Keeping the same phone as long as possible is convenient, easy even.
🪄 No transferring contacts, etc
🗑 Phones are created from horrifying sourcing methods & business practices, so keeping your phone longer is the LEAST you can do to not accelerate that problem.
CONCERT 🎤
🪄 Artists work so hard to prepare for their shows.
🪄 There could be an encore, fan moment, or fun post-show experience
🗑 You leave early, cool. But that ticket was for the whole show, wasted $$$ again!
So what do you want us to do instead, business Mom?

Quite honestly?
💁 “No, super dishonestly. YES, honestly.”
Ok, honestly, I want you to:
savor the good things,
endure the inconvenient things,
and preserve the useful things
until the last drop.
Some of the BEST parts of life are found there. 💜
Until next week ✌
